The United Party for National Development has described the Young African Leaders Initiative as drama kings for claiming that the Electoral Commission of Zambia is favouring their strongholds in the ongoing mobile voter registration exercise.
YALI President Andrew Ntewewe yesterday accused the Commission of having located more voter registration kits to Southern Province compared to other Provinces in a bid to manipulate next year’s vote, an accusation rubbished by the ECZ.
UPND Chairperson for Elections Gary Nkombo says their strongholds are equally affected by the rate at which the voter registration exercise is progressing.
Mr. Nkombo has advised YALI to instead join other stakeholders in demanding for the extension of voter registration exercise to allow more people to register as voters.
