ALLIANCE for Community Action (ACA) executive director Laura Miti has urged Members of Parliament that have rejected Bill 10 to remain firm.
She said citizens could not reward MPs for their patriotism and character but it was good for the country.
“To the MPs that have resolutely refused to pass the injurious Bill 10, I want to say I’m keenly aware of the inordinate pressure each of you must be under to betray Zambia,” she said.
“You know that citizens cannot reward you for your patriotism and show of character. We can only say thank you. At least, from the bottom of my heart, I can honestly say I am in awe of what you have individually and collectively done so far to protect the very soul of our country. Please hold firm. Say no to Bill10,”
