Choma Central Member of parliament Honorable Cornelius Mweetwa has confirmed to Choma Maanu Radio Station that he has received numerous complainants from local bus operators at the new Bus Station.
In a Telephone interview this afternoon, the MP tells Choma Maanu radio Station that Bus Drivers have been calling him to complain about the move by the Council to move them to the New Bus Station. He says that local bus operators are having challenges at the new Bus Station because their clientele is local.
Mweetwa says every town has a main Bus station and Bus stops for short routes. He said that small bus operators should not be forced to operate from a place where they do have business instead they should be allowed to continue using the usual places they have been operating from and commercial buses be at the new Bus station.
The area Member of Parliament has assured local bus operators that he has already started engaging the relevant authority and a solution will be found as soon as possible because this matter is as an emergency.
