Choma District has joined the rest of the world in commemorating the 16 Days of activism against Gender based violence which runs from the 25th November to 10 December every year.
Choma District Administrative Officer Hope Chiposo says this period should be taken seriously as it is an international campaign challenging violence against women and girls as they are the most vulnerable in the community.
Ms Chiposo said this during a live radio program on Choma Maanu Wednesday afternoon.
She is imploring all members of the public to make a difference during the ongoing Covid- 19 pandemic by campaigning to help reduce GBV in the society.
Ms Chiposo says government has a heart for all GBV survivors, be it women or men stating that they all need attention and help.
